There is plenty of traditional-style dining in Bethany Beach whether you're interested a casual family dinner a romantic evening out. In recent years the market has become infused with a few contemporary, upscale eateries such as those of the SoDel Restaurant Group that opened up in Bethany Beach -- Bluecoast Seafood Grill and Northeast Seafood Kitchen. The prices here are generally moderate, as Bethany aims to cater to a family budget.
Make sure to call ahead. Many restaurants are open only during peak season, and hours are variable depending on the time of year. In the summertime, expect large crowds and long waiting times at the most popular restaurants. Avoid peak times by arriving outside of the 6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. rush, or make a reservation at those places that will accept them. Bethany Beach does not feature an array of upscale, water-view dining, but there is enough variety to suit many tastes.
The Bethany-Fenwick Chamber of Commerce publishes a (pdf) dining guide for the Bethany Beach and Fenwick Island areas that features menus for some area restaurants. There is also a Web site devoted to Bethany Beach restaurants that allows users to post reviews, and features detailed menus at www.bethanyrestaurants.com.
